May 19th: Locally Grown Weddings Meet and Greet with D&H Sustainable Jewelers

Locally Grown Weddings Meet and Greet with D&H Sustainable Jewelers
Thursday May 19th, 2011
6:30 -8:30 pm

How green can you be? Just ask Shawn Higgins and Lindsay Daunell of D&H Sustainable Jewelers. After years of working in an industry notoriously bad for the environment, Shawn and Lindsay decided to put their values into their work and now run what could well be the greenest jewelry store in the country.

On May 19th, the Locally Grown Weddings team is hosting a Meet and Greet event from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at D&H Sustainable Jewelers. This event is open to friends, colleagues, clients and everyone else who wants to stop by and say Hello! The whole team will be there, Chef Stephanie and Dulcinea Bakery will provide snacks and there will be wine tasting to enjoy, including lemon rosemary bars and vegan chocolate cupcakes with strawberries & oregano or balsamic syrup. Yummy!

Not only will you meet a bunch of great people, but you can see first hand some of the beautiful work Shawn and Lindsay have chosen to display, like the pieces above, two wedding bands made of recycled gold and precious metals formed in the ancient Japanese style of Mokume Gane by Michael Daniels.

Our hosts, D&H Sustainable Jewelers, are official partners of Locally Grown Weddings and they are located at 2323 Market Street (near Castro Street. We hope to see you there!
